Policies and forms
Graduate Catalog policies, forms and deadlines, summarized with links to the official text.
These are plain-language summaries. The Graduate Catalog and the Graduate College are the official sources. If a summary here and the official text disagree, the official text wins.
Appeals and issue resolution
- UNLV-wide
The Graduate College helps graduate students resolve concerns informally and explains how to file a formal appeal. Go here if a policy seems to have been applied unfairly or you do not know where to turn.
Graduate College forms
- UNLV-wide
Most Graduate College forms are electronic and live in the Grad Rebel Gateway. Part II of the Plan of Study is on your program’s Degrees Directory page.
Graduate study timeline: the steps to your degree
- UNLV-wide
A step-by-step guide to your program. It covers meeting your advisor, forming an advisory committee if you need one, and submitting your Plan of Study. The Graduate College recommends submitting the plan about halfway through your program.
Graduation deadlines and the graduation fee
- UNLV-wide
You must apply to graduate in MyUNLV by the posted deadline for your term. Thesis and dissertation students have extra deadlines for defense and format review. Applying adds a $125 graduation and diploma fee for each degree or certificate.
The Graduate Catalog
- UNLV-wide
The official home of graduate program requirements, program handbooks and Graduate College policies. Check it before you rely on a summary, including the ones on this site. Past editions are available by request.
Your Retention, Progression, and Completion (RPC) coordinator
- UNLV-wide
Every graduate student has an RPC coordinator who helps with forms, the Grad Rebel Gateway, degree requirements and degree conferral. Find yours in the Contact Us section of the Grad Rebel Gateway. RPC does not do academic advising, which comes from your graduate coordinator.
